WPIAL BASEBALL
The WPIAL released the playoff pairings for high school baseball.
Butler was named the #1 seed in the 6A tournament and will face Mt. Lebanon next Monday at 7 p.m. at North Allegheny High School.
Defending champion Seneca Valley is the #7 seed and faces Canon McMillan Monday at Boyce Mayview Park at 4 p.m.
Mars is the #14 seed in the 5A bracket and faces Thomas Jefferson tomorrow at 4 p.m. at Boyce Mayview Park
Knoch earned the #8 seed and will play #9 Blackhawk at Pullman Park tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the 4A bracket.
In the 3A bracket, Freeport was selected as the #4 seed and faces Quaker Valley tomorrow at 4 p.m. at Deer Lakes High School.
VOLLEYBALL PLAYOFFS
Butler boys volleyball earned a bye in the 3A WPIAL playoffs. They get the winner of Upper St. Clair and Hempfield this Thursday.
Seneca Valley was the 3 seed and also received a bye. They’ll face either Penn Trafford or Fox Chapel.
