MLB Playoffs:
–The New York Yankees held off elimination following a 9-6 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays last night. The Yankees came back from a 6-3 deficit thanks to an Aaron Judge three-run home run in the fourth inning. They added three runs over the next two innings, and former Pirate David Bednar earned the save by getting the final five outs of the game.
–The Seattle Mariners defeated the Detroit Tigers 8-4 last night to take a 2-1 lead in their American League Divisional Series.
All four series match-ups will be played today.
–Detroit will host Seattle at 3:08pm this afternoon trying to hold off elimination. The game will be televised on FS1.
–The Chicago Cubs host the Milwaukee Brewers at 5:08pm, with the Brewers a win away from the National League Championship Series. The game will be televised on TBS, TruTv and HBO Max.
–The Yankees will host Toronto at 7:08pm for their series Game 4. That game is on FS1.
–The Los Angeles Dodgers host the Philadelphia Phillies for Game 3 of their series. The game begins at 9:08pm with the Dodgers leading the best-of-five series 2-0. That game is being televised on TBS, TruTv and HBO Max.
