A Butler man has been placed in the Butler County Prison after being accused of sexually assaulting a minor in the city of Butler.
In August, the victims parent reported to police their 14-year-old child had been texting and meeting with an older man.
According to charging documents, the victim was sexually assaulted by 37-year-old Andrew Ford several times at several locations including Ford’s home.
The victim also told police she informed Ford of her age and Ford continued to engage in the sexual assaults.
Ford has been charged with statutory sexual assault, indecent assault of a person less than 16 years of age, aggravated indecent assault, and corruption of minors.
Bail for Ford was set at $150,000 and a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for September 21.
